Sukhwinder graduated with an LLB (Hons) degree and went on to study the legal practice course at the College of Law and joined a well known City firm in 2007. He later left to set up and head the Human Rights Department at another London firm.

Sukhwinder is one of the partners at Lex Sterling Solicitors and covers Human Rights law and Property law having acquired many years of experience.He has excellent client skills and is passionate about meeting the needs of his clients with a good client base around the United Kingdom and internationally made up of celebrities and high net worth individuals.Furthermore,he has represented individuals who have instructed him in high profile cases such as ‘the Torso in the Thames’ case, representing a key player in the £100m Hillingdon case and representing a Trinidadian fugitive drug lord, who had been on the run for more than ten years and faced extradition to Trinidad and Tobago. Trevor Japal qualified as a solicitor in 2011 at a high street law firm. He is one of the founders and partners at Lex Sterling Solicitors and has been practising in Purley for over 10 years. Trevor has developed an extensive client base around the United Kingdom and internationally made up of individuals, including celebrities, and small to medium sized companies.

Trevor has acted for a wide range of Buyers and Sellers of residential and commercial property, from first time couples buying a new home to buy to let investors and Developers with high value portfolios. Shan Madan attended the City University of London where he attained a degree in Law (LLB Hons) and completed his Legal Practice Course at BPP Law School.

Shan qualified as a solicitor in 2012 at a high street law firm in West London. He is one of the partners at Lex Sterling Solicitors and has been practising Law for over 10 years. Shan has developed the skill over the years to obtain effective solutions for clients which is something that he thrives on in order to achieve his clients goals.

Shan specialises in a broad range of Private Client practice areas for the firm undertaking work in all aspects of Family Law including pre-nuptial agreements, divorce, civil partnership, domestic violence, financial proceedings, Trust of Land and Appointment of Trustees Act 1996 (TOLATA), child arrangement orders (residence & contact), parental responsibility, grandparents rights and cohabitation disputes between unmarried couples. Shan represents husbands, wives, civil partners and interveners in financial proceedings and is there to ensure the process of divorce and division of assets can be achieved effectively for his clients.

Shan heads up our Wills and Probate department where he undertakes Estates Administration, drafting Wills and Trusts. He also undertakes work in relation to Specific, General and Lasting Power of Attorneys.

Shan also undertakes Debt recovery matters on behalf of clients and explores practical solutions before Court Proceedings are issued in order to recover money owed. He also has vast experience of dealing with enforcement action including appointing bailiffs, obtaining charging orders, issuing statutory demands, third party debt orders and attachment of earning orders.

Shan is also regularly instructed by Landlords and Tenants when disputes arise, the work he has undertaken includes drafting and serving Section 21 and 8 Notices, evicting tenants by obtaining Court Orders, rent arrears recovery, deposit recovery and damages claims.

Ish Cheema

Ish Cheema was admitted as a Solicitor in 2004. Ish’s expertise is in all areas of residential and commercial conveyancing, including commercial business acquisitions having recently acted in the acquisition of farms and restaurants. Ish also acts for bridging loan companies as part of their Property Finance business and acts to undertake due diligence on the security property often quickly and always thoroughly in order to ensure his clients’ lending is safe and secure.

Ish represents several high net worth clients, having recently purchased a £5,000,0000 care home for a client in Tunbridge Wells. Ish is experienced in property finance and is repeatedly recommended by various different mortgage brokers and lenders as a trusted solicitor. Ish is willing to take on large portfolio refinances, having recently refinanced a property portfolio consisting of 48 properties.

Due to Ish’s proactive and problem solving approach Ish also represents several busy property developers who purchase land for construction or development purposes, or buildings for conversions. Ish assists with the acquisition of the site and starts preparing the site for sale from the beginning, always keeping completion in sight.

Ramona Breazu

Ramona completed the Legal Practice Course at BPP University in Holborn and undertook her training contract with the firm. She qualified as a solicitor in mid 2020.

Prior to joining the team in August 2017, she worked as a paralegal at a well respected high-street firm in North London and as a legal caseworker for an award-winning access to justice NGO based in Central London, where she gained experience in a very broad range of practice areas such as immigration, litigation, employment and family based matters.

Ramona is working across all areas of asylum, human rights, removal and deportation, entry clearance, EEA applications, settlement and nationality. She enjoys dealing with discretionary cases for private clients, in Immigration appeals and Judicial Review matters in particular, including challenges of the decisions of the Secretary of State for the Home Department to unlawfully detain and remove claimants.

Since joining the firm, Ramona has been involved on a variety of property transactions from initial instructions to post completion, assisting with the acquisition and disposal of freehold and leasehold properties, remortgages, transfers of equity, leases and lease extension.

Ramona is also experienced in Wills and Probate assisting a Partner with all matters relating to writing a will and probate, contested wills, trusts and estates, lasting powers or attorney, trusts and deeds of variation.

Outside of work she enjoys gardening, travelling, reading and spending time with friends and family.

Ramona is fluent in Romanian and conversational in Spanish and Italian

Ashleigh joined the firm in 2021 and studied Law at BPP University and graduated in 2016. Thereafter, she completed her Masters in Law and the LPC and graduated in the autumn of 2020.

She volunteered at the Citizens Advice Bureau from July 2019 to January 2021 and in her spare time she enjoys learning about history, travelling, reading, going to the gym and spending time with friends and family
